Raoul
The third, crucial leg of the love triangle in "The Phantom of the Opera", Raoul was a childhood friend of Christine's who has recently become a patron of the Opera house where she sings in the chorus. Upon their reunion the two quickly fall in love despite The Phantom's best attempts to separate them. Raoul is constantly brave and selfless, doing all that he can to protect Christine and the other people who work and reside at the Opera House. Though he has the best of intentions, The Phantom's cunning intelligence outsmarts him as he lures Raoul into his lair by kdinapping Christine. Then, turning the tables on the young lovers, he threatens to kill Raoul unless Christine promised to spend the rest of her days with him.
